Year 12 Reflect at St John’s

On August 19 after the hype and stress of the HSC Trial Exams, Year 12 at St John’s took an opportunity to regroup, take stock of life, and reflect on their journey, past, present and future. Exploring the fears, pressures and stresses of Year 12 was an essential part of the day. So, too, was the reminder of the need to be supportive, and to maintain a sense of unity and hope throughout the time that remains at school.

The Year 12 Theme “We Are the Light of the World,” powerfully stated the message that Jesus gives his followers; a call that all students in this cohort should heed. This was a great occasion to explore this theme – with specific emphasis on celebrating the friendships made while at St John the Evangelist, identifying and celebrating differences of others and, creating hope for the future.
