There are connections that can be made with Aboriginal spirituality, celebration and ritual with many symbols associated with Aboriginal ceremonies being similar to those used in the sacramental life and religious rituals of the Catholic Church. 

The Aboriginal Art Resource – Sacraments Series highlights some of these connections and celebrates Aboriginal spirituality and culture for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students.

Utilising the artwork of Aboriginal Artist, Donna Marie Sadler this new resource has been developed for teachers and catechists for use in sacramental preparation lessons, catechist lessons and associated units within the Diocesan Religious Education Curriculum.
