An update for parents, carers and students at Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) schools regarding the current adverse weather event.

As of 3pm Sunday 21 March 2021, all CEDoW schools will be open as normal on Monday 22 March 2021. Local advice regarding buses and trains will be communicated to parents and carers by your school.

As always, the safety of our students and school community is our first priority and we ask that you do not put yourself or your child at risk in order to travel to school. Should you be cut off by flood waters, or in a flood-affected area, please do not attempt to drive through flood waters to get to school.

As conditions can change quickly in these situations, we recommend you keep up to date by listening to ABC TV/Radio, and regularly checking websites including NSW SES, Bureau of Meteorology, livetraffic.com and local councils, for the latest information regarding weather warnings, road closures and evacuation orders.

Should there be a change to circumstances or need to provide you with any further information, your school will send additional communication to you through your normal communication channels.

Finally, we would like to acknowledge with gratitude our emergency service workers and SES volunteers helping those in need during critical incidents. Let us pray that God blesses and keeps them safe over the coming days.
