Congratulations to St John the Evangelist Primary School, Campbelltown on their record haul of containers for the Vinnies Return and Earn Container Deposit Scheme.

The school community recently collected and donated 3,235 drink containers to Vinnies. This sets a new record for the number of containers in a single collection from Vinnies school partners.

The staff and students, with the support of the WEN Contact, Samantha Seweryn, have worked hard to reduce cross contamination in the collections whilst also trying to increase the volume of containers collected.

Any monies generated from the Return and Earn scheme go back to Vinnies to assist them with their local social works across the community.

A good news story for the planet that hears and responds to both the cries of the earth and the cries of the poor.
