The 'green' spirit is alive and well amongst the staff and students at Holy Spirit College, Bellambi.

For Christmas last year, all members of the staff were given a stainless steel keep cup as a gift. This has been a great success, especially as the coffee van now comes on a Monday morning to help get the week off to a good start. No more disposable cups for HSC!

The environmental group also encourages all at Holy Spirit College to Reduce-Reuse-Recycle.

To help with this initiative, plastic cutlery will no longer be issued by the canteen and students are requested to bring their own from home.

We also encourage students to bring refillable water bottles and reduce their waste by using reusable or biodegradable containers rather than plastic sandwich bags.

As Pope Francis reminds us, "it is through little daily actions" that we contribute to caring for our common home.

What is your daily action?
