St John’s Nowra students celebrated at Shoalhaven Excellence in VET Awards

Vocational Education and Training (VET) students and staff at St John’s Nowra continue their success, with a number of the school’s Year 12 Hospitality students recognised at the annual Workplace Learning Shoalhaven Excellence in Vocational Education and Training Awards.

See which students won a Certificate of Excellence in Hospitality,  and who went on to win the Judges’ Award for Outstanding VET Student in the Shoalhaven.

Macarthur students showcase their VET expertise at VETsteddFOOD event

Vocational Education and Training (VET) students from our Macarthur Catholic secondary schools have helped produce a wonderful morning of entertainment and a delicious feast for over 350 local senior citizens at the inaugural VETsteddFOOD.

The unique event saw Camden Civic Centre filled to capacity, as more than 120 VET students – including those from Magdalene Catholic College, NarellanJohn Therry Catholic High School, RosemeadowSt Benedict’s Catholic College, Oran Park; and Mater Dei, Camden – put their skills to the test.

For the love of food: John Therry students cook up a storm

John Therry Catholic High School, Rosemeadow Year 12 students have put their hospitality skills to the test, cooking up a storm for over 70 senior students and teachers. The group is studying the VET subject of Hospitality as part of their Higher School Certificate; they were offered this unique learning experience from local non-profit, MWLP, as part of their mandatory work placement requirements.
