Mission Impact
In this Jubilee Year, there’s a lot to be hopeful about in our Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong communities.
The last 12 months have been huge for our 38 schools as we continue to light the way together through our strategy: Connected Autonomy.
When leaders can lead, teachers can teach, and we work together good things happen! As well as our best NAPLAN and HSC results in three years, we’ve seen improvements in a range of key indicators.
Here's a taste of what our amazing school leaders, teachers, support staff, and students have achieved in the last 12 months:
Empowering leaders to lead
- Powerful new data dashboards for school leaders
- Principal-led, school-owned collaborative cyclic inquiry
- High-quality professional learning with international experts
Trusting teachers to teach
- Shared beliefs and evidence-informed practices (not prescriptive, one-size-fits-all solutions)
- Streamlined professional learning for greater classroom impact
- Protecting, prioritising, and privileging the core work of teaching
Achieving more together
- Amplifying educator expertise through communities of practice
- Response, differentiated support where it's needed most
- Expanding schools and upgrading facilities to meet growing demand
