MAP – See the environmental action happening in our schools!
See some of the fantastic environmental action happening in our Catholic schools across the Diocese of Wollongong as part of the CEDoW Wollongong Environment Network (WEN).
From impressive waste management systems and strategies to reduce single use plastics, to student environment clubs maintaining their school gardens and class lessons integrating outdoor education – our school communities are engaging in a range of initiatives to support environmental awareness and action, and respond to Pope Francis' call to 'care for our common home' in his environmental encyclical, Laudato Si'.
A special congratulations to our top performing schools, achieving at least 13/15 of the below categories of environmental action!
St Paul's Albion Park
St Columbkille's Corrimal
St John's Dapto
Mary Immaculate Eagle Vale
St Mary's Milton
St Patrick's Port Kembla
Stella Maris Shellharbour
