Some wonderful results from CEDOW students at the recent NSWCCC Championships at Homebush.  Congratulations to all students who represented Mackillop, to all place getters and to the following students for their outstanding performances. 

Taneesah was one of three winners Australia-wide to receive the 2016/17 Australia Indonesia Association Scholarship Program. The scholarship involves a two -week homestay program and intensive language course in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

17 year old student Maddie Mott, from Holy Spirit College Bellambi, has taken out first prize in the Year 11/12 Category of 2016 What Matters writing competition, with her powerful and stirring poem, 'We Matter', that addresses the significant issue of women and gender in today’s society.

Last Thursday morning, the 13th of October, several bleary eyed teachers and students arrived at St. John the Evangelist Catholic High School a little later than they normally would after watching history in the making. It was not until the wee hours of the morning that twenty-two-year-old former student, Tyler Wright, was crowned as the 2016 World Surf League Women’s World Champion!

2016 has been a huge year for the community of St Pius X, taking an active role in caring for our common home. Pope Francis’ Laudato Si inspired the students and staff to do more to our already beautiful school environment to ensure that all the wonders of creation are around for future generations. We felt improvements were needed, not only to the appearance of some areas of our school grounds, but in the way we educate others, so they too are empowered with the knowledge that they can make a difference! 

St Columbkille's School Production of Olivia! this term, was a delightfully inspiring example of how valuable Arts Education is for our young students.
