News | Corpus Christi's First Musical Production a Great Success!

Corpus Christi Catholic High School performed their first school musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Roo Theatre in August.

The production featured 40 students from years 7 to 10. Noah Nieborak (Year 9) played the lead role of Joseph with Sarah Gray (Year 10), Emily Regan (Year 9) and Makenzie Bonney (Year 7) as the Narrators.

The students began weekly rehearsals in Week 1 of Term 2.  They worked tirelessly each week (including weekends) mastering the beautiful musical score and the vibrant choreography. The students love for performing evolved throughout the rehearsal process and absolutely shone in every performance.

The cast and crew were overwhelmed by the support from the Corpus Christi community, with every show a 'packed house' of parents, grandparents, friends, students and staff, and were thrilled with the positive feedback and glowing reviews.

The students are extremely proud of themselves and their fellow team members, as well as the valuable contribution they have made to the community through the creative and performing arts. All at Corpus are looking forward to the next big musical in 2019!

“The experience was exhilarating” – Emily Whisson (Year 9)

“It was fun to watch it come together” – Charlotte Lee Perez (Year 9)
