Congratulations to JORDAN DORIS of Year 12 at Mount Carmel Catholic College, for his exceptional performance in representing his country at the recent Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas.

Jordan, who has been the Diocese of Wollongong's Male Athlete of the Year for the past three years (2014, 2015, 2016), won a silver medal in the 400 metres and a gold medal in the mixed 4 x 400 metre event, the final event of the games. The other three athletes in Australia’s 4x400m mixed relay team were Bendere Oboya, Carley Thomas and Sebastien Moir.

Jordan represents both Wollongong CEO and his school with great passion. He is currently the Australian U/17 400 metre and 800 metre Champion, with a goal to qualify for next year's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. We wish him well.
